Our Essential Restoration Projects
Your generous donation helps support our mission and fund our community programs
We have an approved restoration work that is urgently needed to save the Church of Saint John the Baptist.
Your support is essential to preserving this thousand-year-old heritage for future generations.

Protecting the Church from Water Damage
The church is primarily affected by water infiltration, which is gradually weakening the structure. The restoration project therefore gives priority to protecting the masonry by stopping water intrusion and allowing trapped moisture to escape.
Each winter, water penetrates deeper into the stonework. Without intervention, the damage will continue to accelerate, and restoration costs will rise.
Taking action today means preserving an exceptional piece of our shared heritage while preventing far more costly repairs in the future.

Restoring the Roof and Roofing Structures
We must restore the church’s roofs and coverings to provide lasting protection from the elements. This work also includes repairing the façades, mortar joints, and weathered stonework, particularly in the oldest sections of the church.
These repairs are essential to safeguarding the church’s most remarkable historic features, including its Romanesque apse, choir, altarpiece, stained-glass windows, and other heritage elements, while preventing further deterioration.

Preserving Our Heritage for Future Generations
For nearly nine centuries, this church has stood the test of time. Today, it is our generation’s responsibility to preserve it—not simply to restore a historic monument, but to pass on to future generations a place of memory, community, culture, and shared experience.
Together, let us write the next chapter of its story.
Preserve Today, Pass It On Tomorrow.
